Fishing in a World-Class Vacation Destination

Cabo San Lucas fishing is perfect if you are into fishing, especially for Marlin. With a wealth of Marlin population, Cabo San Lucas has earned its mark as the “Marlin capital of the world”. The picturesque clear waters of the Baja Cape are full of Blue, black, and striped Marlin.

The place is not just home to the different species of Marlin but also home to a lot of species like the Snapper, the Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Although these species of fish are seasonal in Cabo, it has, however, an abundant catch of Marlin throughout the year. The Striped Marlin is abundant during winter and the other two are abundant in summer and fall.

There are numerous fishing sites within the shoreline of Cabo San Lucas that are great for your fishing adventure. A good number of these fishing spots are to be found within 40 miles from the port.

One of the famous and good sites for fishing in Cabo is the Tinaje Trough. This underwater canyon is home to a variety of fishes.

Another good site to fish is a particular spot between the banks of Golden Gate and San Jaime, it is actually where a stream of water flow through and that is a superb place for fishing in Cabo San Lucas. These warm underwater currents hold a gargantuan of Blue Marlin, Yellowfin and Skipjack Tuna.

You can also opt to do fishing by chartering a fishing boat. Cabo has at least 350 charters that cater to boat chartering needs in the area. Chartering a boat for your fishing adventure may make it more exciting and fun.

Luxury yachts can also be chartered for your fishing adventure in Cabo. If you want to experience luxury in fishing and have more fun, a number of luxury yacht charters are available in the place. Cost however depends on how long you plan to do your fishing adventure and how many people are coming with the trip.

Because of the abundant fishes in the area, Cabo also hosts a number of fishing tournaments throughout the year. World fishing tournaments usually happen in October of each year. Cabo is indeed not just home of excellent hotels and golf courses but it also provides world-class fishing experience.
