Petpalooza will feature some demonstrations regarding some pet tricks. Some highlights include dog agility course, an animal behaviorist and a rabies clinic. Also, Pet adoption will also be conducted for pets to find a family of their own, and for families to find an additional member. Fire trucks and many other amenities will be available for the publics comfort and security.

Virginia K-9, wish for the participants to understand the importance of the event. Organizers believe that the more they educate the public about animal safety the more they can avoid certain diseases. The Petpalooza longs promote closeness and respect both for the animal and their humans. “Pets provide good comfort” some kids would sometimes run to their pets to find some comfort, and companionship, which is why being aware and informed regarding pets should be a part of family activities.

Petpalooza will be held at the open fields behind the school premises. It is free to the public. Booths will be displaying different dog and cat accessories; some will be providing cute dog tags and many other paraphernalia. In addition to having petpalooza, the Virginia Beach Animal Control is informing the public that they are extending their kennel hours.

Owning a pet is a huge responsibility. It involves safety and hygiene concern, too. And while each pet entails a specific brand of care, there are basic dos and don’ts for all kinds that you should keep in mind and take into considerations. Grownups should always provide supervisions to kids while interacting with pets.

A vendor here may be less than productive. And apparently, we weren’t alone in this theory, as a lot of people thought so, too; but every which way you looked, there were things being bought. The craftspeople I had the chance to interact with said that they expected this year’s sales to be down because of the recession. But, on this Saturday, everyone did pretty good business that was at par with the previous year. Everyone ended up satisfied.

Wandering around the booths under normal circumstances should not appeal to me at all, as I am not an avid shopper. It is actually quite interesting to note now that I’ve been a regular for this event for almost ten years now. Why is that? It probably has something to do with the growing appreciation I have for the crafts themselves; something about the progress of raw materials to exquisite delights in the hands of talented people appeals to me.

There are a lot of rooms filled with beautiful crafts that are both simple and complex. I find myself being drawn towards certain items of interest – bowls, glass platters, earrings for Mother’s Day – all of these are stuck in my head. The balance of material and creativity is astonishing. And of course, I think about how best to place these objects at home.

Yet another reason why I like this event is the fact that I like the prices. Some of them would seem downright cheap to what you’d find in more permanent shops. As I’ve said before, I am not an avid shopaholic and would not be the best judge for such things. Even so, I like the idea of spending my money this way.

I went to the show with Liz, a nice friend of mine who is skilled with making neat hand-embroidered pillows. It sure helps a lot to have one of your best friends as a neighboring vendor. Other helping hands weren’t in short supply either, which was way better than the craft show last year. Liz’s husband was around, so there was at least another guy to talk to. And he helps move the heavier things about, too. My wife was there too, of course, and other friendly vendors were also very helpful in setting up shop.

I recently bought a new card and stationery display, and I included it in my presentation as it added a new dimension to my stall. After that, I figured that I should go on ahead and change my display a little bit; I’ve been using just one booth style with the past few craft shows, and the change of pace will make my stall attract new people.

The weather went awry last Saturday, so I made sure I was ready for the worst the next day. I was equipped for the cold weather; as I brought along a giant blue sweater from my High School days on Sunday. The colors of my alma mater have always been dear to me, and it is comfortable to boot.

Customers were pouring in over the week at a steady pace, and many were really excited with their new items. One particular girl was noticeably thrilled at Liz’s pillow designes, and she bought a whole batch of them! The guy she was with was interested in my more manly works, as well. They both went home happy, and so did I.

Fusion cooking integrates different styles and different forms of cooking which span around the world, using California-native ingredients. This defeats the barrier of substitution. Presentation and over all ‘oomph’ is important to California cuisine. Same goes for innovation and for over all taste.

The restaurant credited for starting California cuisine would be the Chez Panisse, by co-founder Alice Waters. The restaurant is found in Berkeley, California. Story dictates that Water visited south of France and had discovered the joy of cooking using fresh herbs, vegetables and oils. Her taste for what good food was cemented in this belief that the road restaurants served a better sense than those of the predictable menus of high-class Parisian restaurants.

She was a chef, and with her aspirations and dreams of steeling a cooking style that would cater to the taste buds of a demanding customer demographic whose demands are good food, fast service, and fresh, garden-fresh, ingredients. The garden-fresh criteria might be too much, but market-fresh and farm fresh certainly do fit the bill.

The restaurant was credited in making some of the more staple foods in most restaurants today. One example is the California-style pizza or the ‘gourmet pizza’ as they call it. California pizza uses non-traditional toppings taken from other cuisine styles, like artichokes, infused olive oils and peanut butter. The usual California pizza might have barbecue bits; curry sauce, oven-baked sunny-side up eggs, goat cheese, spinach, herbs and carne asada. It’s actually more like a buffet pizza than a typical-put-everything-here pizza.

They also created the original Goat Cheese Salad and carbonated tap-water, a good alternative to soft drinks and soda.

Contemporary Art depicts the art of the Modern times, it is often confused by Post modern because some claim that we actually live in the Post Modern era already and that any art that comes out during these times should be called as “Post Modern”. To avoid confusion let me first give you the difference between Modern, Post modern and Contemporary Art as these are three subjects that are oftentimes misused.

Contemporary Art is used to describe the current trend of Styles during the ongoing era. The term contemporary does not come into existence until the half of 19th century (1950′s) onwards. Modern Art is described as Art that emerged after the renaissance Period or the Period of “rebirth”. It is oftentimes categorized as the Art created during the 18th to early 19th century. Post modern art is described as the combination of the different Art Styles during the Modern era and these styles includes: Art Nouveau and Art Deco among many others. Post Modern style is always a mixture of two or more style era.

Paintings are mostly on display on this exhibit. Expect young and talented artists churning out their fresh minds to create great pieces. Contemporary Hawaiian artists all gather at the Artists Guild to celebrate their talents by showing their creations to spectators and enthusiasts.

On Valentine’s Day lovers tend to show their love for their ladies by giving them flowers on this special day.

At Asheville, North Carolina there is a Festival of Flowers that will be celebrated as the signal of the start of Spring. This festival never fails to draw attention and audience from residents from North Carolina and outside the State. It is an event where florists, spectators/ enthusiasts and suppliers gather in one roof to celebrate the beauty of flowers.

During the festival, horticulturists and florists are present to provide demonstrations and knowledge to the public on how to create the perfect floral arrangement for every ocassion. Experts in the said field wre present to answer questions and teach the enthusiastic audience a thing or two about floral arrangement.

The NWWF ranks top in classification according to the Luxury Institute, an organization that rates festivals according to prestige, quality and of course, exclusivity. This food festivals gathers and brings together the finest of wine craftsmen, vintners, gastronomists and chefs around the country and the world, for a festival that celebrates their craft, and what they are good at.

The festival is also not for naught. It’s a good thing, in lay man’s terms. All proceeds from the said festival will benefit and help the Naples Children and Education Foundation, whose goal is to better the lives, condition and the education of children that are the beneficiaries of the foundation. Since the founding of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, it has donated more than seventy four million dollars to the organization and to children in need.

The scheduled events are also worth it. For those who are planning to go see it, be prepared for an overall budget of at least not less than fifty thousand bucks. (Hey, I told you it’s very, very exclusive.) Tickets that are for the event will cover the entire festival, not just for one event.

But there are tons of events indeed. For one, you get to meet the children that are on the receiving end of the beneficiaries, which hails from the Ritz-Carlton Golf course. There are the Vintner Dinners, which fames itself on the finest wines and the most exclusive of cuisines. There are more cuisine events in the next few days, so it’s a rather enjoyable feed, a once in a lifetime opportunity.

But as with every adventure, danger always hounds both wary and unwary travelers. They can come in many forms, but each one is sure to deal a blow to your family if you are caught unawares.

First, your local security. Florida is not the hanky-panky state most people would assume it to be. Every place can be a danger, and your local trade shows aren’t an exception. Keep your kids beside you at all times, buy a child safety leash if need be. Child safety leashes ARE not degrading in any form, and gives your child freedom and gives you security at the same time. Make sure that you don’t take your hands off the stroller or baby carriage and as much as possible, have someone go with you when out venturing into the festival.

Second, your health. Festivals go from morning to evening. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes so they don’t end up sticky or smelly. You wouldn’t want to attract flies and insects that would bring you more nasties. For those going to the fair when the moon is up, a jacket would be nice to keep the warmth in and the cold out.

For the booth keepers and exhibit owners, make sure that at least two or three people man the booth at the same time. A few rascals might cause trouble or someone might steal a thing or two. That would equal to your profit being stolen. Have a comfortable uniform that is easy to wear, so in case of emergencies, your movements will not be hindered. You can never know with our times.

Be vigilant, but learn to relax as well. After all, the point of going to a festival is to enjoy your time with you and your family or loved one.

Those who possess talents and would want to earn a living by being a florist will learn a thing or two from the free lessons and tutorials on floral arrangement. At the Newport Flower Show in Newport, Rhode Island spectators will have fun viewing the marvelous floral species of the locality. In here, local florists and business owners will be present to show their techniques in building different types of floral bouquet.

My uncle is a celebrated florist in our town who is one of the few who are commissioned by the event organizers to conduct a seminar about floral arrangement. In the seminar he will teach the concept of “S” structure which is sometimes the guiding principle in making great looking and kick-ass floral arrangements. The “S” structure consists of flower petals arranged in S curvature form when viewed from the front.

He is one fine florist in making dimensional floral pieces. The concept about building height and creating dimension and depth in floral arrangement will also be tackled by my uncle. His teachings include using the long stemmed flower on the center (of a round floral table arrangement) and gradually decreasing in height as it slope down the edges. He also points out the use of colors in creating depth and play at any floral arrangement.

CCAF is considered as the signature cultural event of Colorado; our annual craft show is top-ranked and award winning. The CCAF’s mission is to simply provide access to a broader array of arts experiences and to support the arts education in Colorado, as it is a non-profit corporation. CCAF manages its yearlong art education and outreach mission besides the festival itself. Other programs the CCAF is affiliated with include the Mobile Art Collection, artist in residence programs, and the Student Art Buying Programs.

When will the arts festival happen? Traditionally, CCAF takes place on the 4th of July weekend. This year, though, the event will take place from the third to the fifth week of July. It will start at 10am and will continue on throughout the day, ending at 6pm before the festival nights come in. Unfortunately, there will be no festival night on the 5th.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival will take place in the Cherry Creek North District on all six streets that are in between Clayton and Steele.
