The best things in life comes for free. Such is an offer of a free vacation package. Now, who would decline that kind of opportunity when all it takes is a measly sales presentation? The next thing you know, you are a proud owner of a timeshare which entitles you to a full authority to use the resort at your own advantage. Sounds fun right? But wait as the fees keep coming and start escalating, you will soon realize what big mistake you’ve made.

You’ll start asking yourself how did you end up purchasing a timeshare when in fact it was out of your plan to own one. Were you caught up by the timeshare trap?

You are not alone. In fact, there are so many timeshare owners that end up disappointed about their timeshare purchase. Now, the big question here is how did it all come about this way?

According to these timeshare owners who have attended the said presentation, it was indeed very alluring and overwhelming. The high pressure and hypnotizing sales environment gives you no place to runaway and hide.

The tactic here, in order for timeshare developers to entice people in attending a sales presentation is that they will include in their sales program financial incentives to participants. The incentives typically include items such as gift certificates, discounts on accommodations, or other amenities. In their presentation, they will show you pictures of this resorts that you’ll surely fall in love with and the next thing that’s going to happen is you’ll find yourself signing that contract and purchasing another timeshare.

Eventually, as hefty maintenance fees along with special assessments come your way, you’ll realize what big mistake you’ve made for giving in and purchasing that timeshare. So, to avoid this mishap, the best way you can do is to fight the urge and restrain yourself from doing the purchase. Simply turn down the timeshare offers. If you can overcome this, it can be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made in your life.

Who doesn’t want to have a vacation? All work and no play makes Joe a dull boy. No one wants to be dull, right? That’s the very reason why resorts are existing for the very sole purpose of it ” to reinvigorate people’s senses and renew their vitality. And to make it more accessible the idea of timesharing was created.

Since the birth of timeshares, many people have fallen inlove with it and gave in. However, as time passes by, the love and delight they once felt seems to fade away. This is when this lovable paradise try to take everything from them leaving them a broken heart and an empty pocket.

1.Increasing Maintenance fees. Over 4.8 million people have wonderful vacation retreats yet why do so many want to get rid of their timeshares? Well, the arising timeshare complaint is all about the hefty maintenance fees that are increasing year after year. Aside from these maintenance fees, special assessment fees can poach thousands of dollars from the owner’s pocketbook.

2.Lifetime Contracts. Along with the hefty fees are contracts that may times require a lifetime commitment from the timeshare owners. What does this mean? Continuous financial liability. Do you anyone who’d like to pay for something forever? Moreover, if they do not pay, their past due fees will be subject to corresponding penalties. These lifetime contracts do not end even if the owner passes away because these deeded contracts are inherited by their children and grandchildren including the financial liability.

3.Developers have Governing Documents that can be modified anytime. Developers of timeshare resorts have governing documents which they can modify anytime they wish to do so at their sole discretion. So, even if timeshare owners doesn’t agree with the changes they are subject to adhere with it.

4.Pain in Scheduling. This is an additional pain in the neck. If owners plan to use their timeshare, they should be able book up to 2 years in advance but in most cases, even if they have booked in advance, to no avail, they still are not able to use their timeshare units. This is due to the absence of financial incentives. Thus, resorts tend to focus on bringing more potential buyers and selling them timeshare intervals.

Now, let this timeshare information sink in and hopefully it will help you out in making a wise decision as to where you are going to spend your vacation.
