Cancun is situated on the Caribbean coast of Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the most admired destination for tourists and has become synonymous with the Spring Break travelers. With this notoriety it has become a world well-known vacation destination.

For those who feel affection for nature, the Xcaret Eco Park is only an hour from Cancun. You can have an underground river journey which will take you next to the attractive Xcaret beach.

For lovers of the performing arts and culture you can see the Coco Bongo which is a mix of a nightclub, Cirque De Soleil, theater, and concerts. It has everything to keep you amused for hours from trapeze artists, to scenes being played out from the Matrix to dance music. The music varies from night to night and from hour to hour with everything to delight from Elvis to Bob Sinclar.

A Cancun Mexico vacation is also grand for other activities like trying different cuisine or visiting pubs and experiencing the nightlife. There are lots of hotels to reside in Cancun, but just make sure that you are at a top class place that will not have any Spring Break students there.

Besides there is the Mayan Ballpark, the Temple of the Warriors, the Cenote of Sacrifice and the Observatory, all these offer other spectacular scenes from a world long forgotten. You have to see all of it. Outside of the main Chichen Itza complex you will discover a typical Mayan village a short walk away. Here you will find some very low-priced restaurants, why not stop off for an authentic Yucatan meal?

If the Cancun Mexico vacation is to celebrate your marriage, then you are able to find some private hotels and spa resorts that will offer you a loving getaway. These are mainly adults only so you will not be bugged by kids while you are there.

As you can see, the best way to take pleasure in Cancun to the fullest is not just by staying at the beach. All these can be accomplished with the best Cancun all inclusive vacation deals obtainable.

So you need to rent a car? Where is the best place to do some comparison shopping and getting the best deal you can get your hands on? Well, online, of course! It is a snap to find a variety of great car rental coupons, promotions and discounts on the internet. There are a number of discount travel sites where you can find promos, you can go to the individual car rental company’s site, or go to PriceLine where you can put a bid on your car.

Most often you will place a numerical code into a box that will calculate your discount, or just by following a link stating the discounted deal. You will need to verify for yourself that your discount gets credited to your bill prior to you paying. This is an easy way to enjoy 10-30% off, get a free day with a weekly rental, get double miles on your card etc.

Travelocity and Expedia are two discount travel sites. They have agreements with the car rental companies to sell and market their services for a lesser fee. They pass this on to us, the consumers and we find them from clicking on a link somewhere promising us a discount.

Another great place to find car rental coupons and promo codes is through hundreds of independent smaller websites and blogs who have taken the time to research the best deals, -so you don’t have to! You just need to make sure that the deal is still valid. Some sites offer feedback where people add their experiences and success with the discount.

Renting a car without getting in on a promotion is not a smart thing to do! All car rental companies try to give the best deal to get you as their customer. Why should you pay full fare when they are giving away all sorts of deals.

Adventure awaits you as you prepare for that special trip. You've invited all your favorite backpacking buddies, you've purchased all the food, all that's left is to pack up and go.

Adventure awaits you as you prepare for that special trip. You’ve invited all your favorite backpacking buddies, you’ve purchased all the food, all that’s left is to pack up and go.

The only problem is you have to carry everything on your back; first aid gear, food and cooking utensils, clothing, tents, etc… Not only do you have to carry it, but how are you going to fit it all into your backpack?

The recommended weight for a beginner’s backpack is 25% of their bodyweight and for some people that’s even pushing it. So how can we lighten your load?

Let’s look at the 6 fundamentals to cutting pack weight:

Fundamental #1 – Heaviest things first. Get rid of your tent and use a tarp. You can save 8 pounds right off the bat by using a 1 pound trap. Use dehydrated food. Food is one of the heaviest items you’ll carry and with new technology the flavors are getting better all the time, so do some taste testing and find out what you like.

Fundamental #2 – Multi-use Items. The practice of using one piece of equipment for more than one purpose will allow you to leave gear behind. Your imagination is the only limit, you can use your stuff sack for a pillow, your T-shirt for a toothbrush, and duct tape makes a great bandage. Really there’s just about no limit to how many ways you can use duct tape (but that’s a whole other article).

Fundamental #3 – Buy lightweight gear. With new technology you can find lighter versions of just about anything.

Fundamental #4 – Buy a smaller backpack. If you don’t have the room you won’t pack it. Have you ever move into a smaller house before, it’s amazing how much you can get rid of. The same principle applies here.

Fundamental #5 – Just don’t bring it. If you don’t pack it you cut the weight for that item by 100%.

Fundamental #6 – Asses gear. Keep lists every time you pack and asses what you used and didn’t use at the end of every trip. Obviously, if you didn’t use the first aid kit, you’ll still need to bring it, but other items might not be needed. In time, you will see patterns and ways to cut weight, just be patient.

That reminds me of a backpacking buddy I had that would bring every thing and the kitchen sink. He was a nice guy and would always share if someone didn’t have something, so I started not bringing things and just borrowed his.

He always had an extra spoon, etc It almost got to the point where I thought of just putting a pillow in my pack and then borrowing the rest of his stuff, but by then he had caught on and decide to start going lightweight (all good things must come to an end).

Hopefully these tips can help take the burden off your back.

When it comes to taking a vacation it is all about location location location. You have worked hard, scrimped and saved. Now is time to treat yourself to the vacation of a lifetime. Sometimes the most difficult part about planning a vacation is choosing where to go. Trying to determine just one location is extremely difficult when there are so many to choose from. Every week I get at least one new free travel brochure in the mail. The different travel packages look great. However, I have always wanted to switch up the locations to design my personal vacation package. So, that is exactly what I did.

Using the information from the free travel guide I received, I designed my dream vacation. When you plan your personalized vacation you have the license to hand picked each destination. You can specify the number days you will spend in each location. You get to select where you stay. If you want to stay in five star hotel or stay in a motel, the choice is yours to make. Planning your dream vacation is easier than you think.

Before the Internet, you would have needed to take your free travel guide to a travel agency to design your dream vacation. However, now all you need to know are a few key websites. When planning your dream vacation here are a few steps you may want to follow:

The first step is to determine where you want to go. If, you want to visit more than one location make sure each destination geographically make sense. Trying to plan a vacation a two week vacation that includes Italy and Australia (travel time between the two is a 22 hour flight), does not geographically makes sense. Spending more than four to six hours traveling between destinations is normally considered a waste of your vacation time.

The second step is to specify the number of days you will be away. Knowing how long you intend on being away will allow you specify the number of days you can spend in each destination.

The third step will be to book your hotel. You can find a hotel listing online under your destinations main website. There are also hotel website that offer discount pricing. Either website will should provide a comprehensive description of the hotels in the area.

If, you follow the above steps you be on your way to having the time of your life. Now the only thing you will need to think about is what to do while you are on vacation.

Jon boats are the basic open rough boats that are suitable for sport fishermen or to use as a transport boat in shallow waters. These types of boats are usually flat-bottomed with a square stern and this why they perform so well in shallow and calm waters.

These boats were originally made out of wood and have been around on the waters for a long time. They are normally using an outboard motor to get around. Nowadays, the wooden Jon boat is just one of many kinds. You can find Jon boats in other materials that are great since they require less maintenance than wood.

Apart from wood, polyethylene, fiberglass and aluminum are the most common materials for Jon boats. They are all good choices and which kind you choose depends on where youre going to use your boat and what youre going to use it for.

While aluminum is strong and adds extra protection if youre driving your boat in rocky areas, it is not as suitable for salty water since this can have a negative impact on the boat and have a corrosive effect which can lead to leakage and other unwanted damages.

Polyethylene is a better option if youre going to use your boat in salty water since it withstands it very well. This material is still strong and gives you a boat that is quite light too. It can withstand a few beats to even though it shouldnt be dragged over rough surfaces.

Fiberglass on the other hand makes the boat quieter to move through vegetation, sand bars and when moving interiors within the boat which can be an advantage. Fiberglass is also suitable for salty water.

When you know what it is youre going to use your boat for and what type of waters youre going to use it in you can easily get a Jon boat that is made out of a material that will suit your needs perfectly.

If you want a boat that is easy to handle, safe to drive and that is good to use for fishing and shorter transportation, a Jon boat is a very good choice. Make sure youre getting your boat from someone that has a lot of knowledge and you can be sure that you will have a boat thats perfect for your needs.

Antigua, the larger of the two islands that make up Antigua and Barbuda, is a stunning vacation place owing to its ethnicity and natural loveliness. The island not only has splendid scenery, but also has white sandy seashores and ample of prospects for people to completely enjoy themselves.

The only city on the island is Saint John’s, which is the capital of Antigua and Barbuda. You can head on over here to take in the local traditions, enjoy the food and drinks and have a fun time. The old English Harbour is a good rubber-necking place for people, and this is where Nelson’s Dockyard is sited. Nelson’s Dockyard is a historic English dockyard from Colonial times.

One more destination to go to is Falmouth which was the original place where the British settlement on the island was placed during colonial times. The island was given sovereignty from the United Kingdom in 1981 and since then has built up its standing as a marvellous place just like the neighbouring islands of St. Barts, Barbados and Jamaica.

To reach to Antigua, you can take one of the several regular flights from the United Kingdom to the VC Bird International Airport on the island. Airlines including the British Airways, BMI, Virgin Atlantic and XL all run many flights to the island. It is also probable to benefit from the island by getting there on a tour ship. Most people make use of this choice seeing not just Antigua, but the adjacent islands too.

Once you land on a single island, you can easily hire a car to take you around. You can also contact your hotel and ask them to arrange one for you. A Taxi is easily available, and is also a cheap option if you don’t want a car for the entire day.

There are several things you can do here. The first one is cricket is especially admired on the island and you can go to the Recreation Ground in St. Johns, or any coastline, and involve yourself in this fantastic game.

From late July to early August, the Recreation Ground in Antigua is employed for the island’s major fiesta Carnival. If you are planning your journey for that time, make certain you participate in the events.

Of course, you are on an island; you should definitely take in the sun and sand. Scuba diving is very popular, with the eastern coastline boasting many reefs where you can take in the marine life. You can also go on sail boats, rowboats or cruisers, which can be hired from a number of locations around the island.

You can also go to the Shirley Heights Lookout, which is an old British fort and Signal Station sited near Falmouth. On Sunday evenings it plays local music and you can arrive early to catch the sunset and stay to take part in the barbeque and music played by local bands.

Located among 50 islands with the US Virgin Islands are the three islands of St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix where some of the best diving in the region can be found. Accessing these islands is simple with flights from many major US airports daily.

St. Thomas

Typically the dive centres will take you to a dive site located at the waters of Pillsbury Sound between St. Thomas and St. John to dive the various shipwrecks encrusted with bright sponges and coral. One nice example is the General Rogers what is a 120-foot US Coast Guard buoy which was sunk to form a reef which sits upright in around 60 feet of water. The reef as grown on the buoy and has created an Orange cup coral and others with abundance of fishes such as angelfish and grunts.

Probably the best diving in the Virgin Islands is Sail Rock which towers up 125 feet in the air off the West End of St Thomas and is teeming with jacks, wrasse, barracuda, turtles and others.

St. John

Located between the islands St. John and St. Thomas are two very popular diving locations called Congo Cay and Carval Rock. Carval rock a nice dive site which is home to many turtles, swarming silversides, cruising reef sharks, and waving sea rods and gorgonians. The swim-through is a must do which tower is between two towering rock faces is covered with vibrant marine life.

Congo Cay’s is an opposite dive to Carval Rock with a drift dive though some amazing weathered; the dive site has its own resident sting rays creating a lovely dive. Both dive sites can be done from a basic level but if the weather is bad only experienced divers can dive.

Island of St. Croix

North side of St. Croix is known to be one of the best wall dives in the Caribbean, the wall starts only 100 yards of the beach line and drops to several thousand feet, there are around 20 dive sites located along the wall with varying natures features such as pinnacles, ledges, walls and caverns.

All the Dive shops on all three islands of St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix will offer resort courses, complete certification classes and rental equipment. Many package deals are available with local hotels and dive operators combining for a single price package. Accommodations range from 5-star resorts and villas to small, family run inns and hotels. Camping is even available for those who want to rough it a bit outdoors.

The fear of flying is called Aviophobia. There are millions of vacationers and business people who travel on commercial air flights as well as potential flyers worldwide that suffer from it, to a greater or lesser extent. Even though air travel is about thirty times safer than traveling by car, you very rarely hear about people that have a fear of driving. Maybe the television, radio, internet and print media contributes to this fear when they graphically cover commercial airline crashes and the subsequent large number of air travelers that are injured or perish.

Fear of flying on commercial flights can be triggered by a number of concerns such as the fear of heights, the fear of falling, the fear of the takeoff and the landing, the fear of crashing, the fear of flying over water, the fear of flying at night, the feeling of losing control causing panic attacks, air turbulence, stormy weather, the fear of hijackers or terrorists, motion sickness, and claustrophobia such as the fear of being trapped in the confined space of an airline cabin as well as being packed in like sardines with your fellow passengers, and also other phobias.

Some other symptoms of the fear of flying could be mild nervousness to extreme anxiety, panic attacks, shortness of breath, a tightness in your chest and chest pains, clammy hands, headaches, and nausea and vomiting.

If you think that your fear of flying is very severe, you can enroll in an intensive treatment program, However, if youre sure your fear of flying is not severe, there are some things you can do that may help to remedy this problem.

Firstly, sit in a seat that is over the airplane wings, preferably not a window seat, so you cant look down at the ground. When you sit over the wings you will also experience a smoother flight.

If possible, leave your seat belt on as much as possible, so if any air turbulence suddenly occurs, you wont get jarred or bounced about as much.

Eat light and try to avoid eating or drinking any food or beverage that contains caffeine, sugar, or alcohol.

It will really help a lot if you try to stay positive and always think only positive thoughts.

It may help to occupy your mind by listening to soft, soothing music on your I-Pod.

Sometimes it may help to wear eye shades and sleep if you can.

You may feel a little less stressed if you can catch flights that take off at off-peak times as there are usually fewer airline passengers to contend with.

If you are thinking about taking some prescription or over-the-counter drugs to calm yourself down on your flight, be sure that you first consult with your family doctor or pharmacist. Keep in mind that if you are already taking prescriptions for pre-existing conditions, any new medication may interact adversely with them. Most over-the-counter drugs can be dangerous.

I have a true story that could help you with this problem. A number of years ago a good friend of mine had a severe case of the fear of flying. His main fear was that he was afraid of dying in a plane crash. A funny thing is he had no problem driving all over the country, or taking a train or Greyhound bus when he traveled on his holidays.

Fortunately he started employment selling ads for a local community newspaper near a busy international airport. As he drove around to sell advertising to the stores in the area, he constantly observed large commercial aircraft take off and land every couple minutes. He heard the deafening roar of airline engines day in and day out. Eventually he started losing his fear of flying.

He finally made a big decision to go on a vacation in Hawaii, which he had always dreamed of doing. The only problem was that he had no choice but to fly. Before he left he took out flight insurance just in case the plane crashed. He wanted to be sure he would leave something for his mom and dad if he didnt come back.

Before boarding the plane he took a sleeping pill hoping would keep him calm. He deliberately booked a window seat because he really wanted to be able to see where he was going and what the earth and ocean looked like from the air.

When the flight attendant told all the passengers to fasten their seat belts, he cinched his belt up so tightly he thought that it would break. On the long flight to Hawaii he only removed his seat belt to go to the washroom. During the flight the only thing that really annoyed him was that his ears got plugged and hurt because of the changes in cabin pressure on the takeoff and landing. A helpful fellow passenger suggested that he should chew some gum and that seemed to solve the problem.

When he landed in Hawaii he was very proud of himself! After all those wasted years being hung up on that terrible phobia he finally broke free. All it took was working near an international airport and watching the constant flow of airliners takeoff and land to reprogram his mind.

If you happen to have a fear of flying you must try and rid yourself of this debilitating, irrational fear. I know that your life will be changed forever when you break free and allow yourself to soar with the eagles and fly anywhere in this big, wide, wonderful world that you want to.

Visit FlyingWithoutFear.com if you want more info on how you as a vacationer, or a business traveler can learn to lessen, or totally eliminate your fear of flying. This neat company offers a free online self-help course that we highly recommend you take. It is conducted by a currently flying airline captain.
